Object Description

Antall seter: 4 Worker passing under buffers at Doncaster works, January 1930. This photograph was taken to teach workers about safety in the works. Around this time railway companies were beginning to take more responsibility for accidents involving their workers and passengers. They also expected workers to follow safety rules and disciplined those who broke them.
